Snapshot:

I am a Black queer identified, multi-state licensed social worker, registered yoga teacher, and multidisciplinary artist. I offer trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, creative arts therapies, narrative therapy, and bibliotherapy through a liberation-focused, black feminist, and relational cultural lens. My training in the hatha yoga tradition, with specializations in restorative yoga and yoga nidra, allows me to integrate somatic healing approaches into therapy sessions.

I have worked with children, youth, families, and individuals for more than twelve years. Some of my clients are healing from and navigating experiences of child abuse and neglect, dating/teen violence, cyberstalking/bullying, family dysfunction, religious trauma, gender identity and expression. I support them through workplace, relational, and religious trauma, depression, complex post traumatic disorder, anxiety, and many other concerns. Some of my favorite therapy activities include chatting with clients about podcasts, books, and other media, practicing breathing techniques, and pulling self empowerment cards.

Fun fact: I host a podcast called Reclaiming Soul Work! This is a heart centered podcast by two queer black femme healers and spiritual social workers who explore the intersections of spirituality, ancestral connections, mental health, social justice and everything in between. Check us out!

I am a PATH provider for Transgender folks who are uninsured or underinsured in and around the Mecklenburg County, NC area. See here for more info: https://charlottetranshealth.org/providing-access-to-trans-healthcare-path/
