Snapshot:
I am autistic, disabled, gifted, queer, and agender/nonbinary. I am full of compassion and wonder for the earth, raccoons, and my fellow humans alike. <3 I enjoy working with clients looking to carve a confident, fulfilling path outside of neuro-normativity and all systems of oppression/control. Most of my clients are autistic, ADHD, PDA, disabled, and/or 2SLGBTQIA+, and I very much enjoy working with older adults and men. I see my clients as complex narrators of their unique stories, often wielding galactic inner landscapes that deserve to be celebrated and lugging burdens that no longer need to be shouldered.
I use an eclectic, relational, trauma-informed approach, leaning on lived experience while incorporating parts work, somatic exploration, creative writing, and acceptance and commitment techniques. I am a creative nonfiction and poetry writer and have found personal healing and empowerment through written expression, so I love to facilitate this type of self-expression within my approach if desired by a client. I highly value the therapeutic relationship and see it as a co-creative dance between two inherently valuable body-minds. I strive to meet each client wherever they are, with curiosity, accommodation, consent, gentleness, and respect.
I practice cultural humility and competence as a white-bodied person who grew up on Yamasee and Kusso land and currently resides on Catawba and Sugaree land. I actively listen to or am in relationship with people who have lived experience and wisdom related to being neurodivergent (mad, plural, etc.), Black, Latine, Indigenous, spiritual, undocumented, disabled, chronically ill, gender-nonconforming, and much more. I am continually divesting from whiteness, white supremacy, capitalism, colonialism, heterosexism, ableism, and many other violent systems so that I can be an effective co-conspirator within my community and as a therapist in this oppressive empire. It would be a privilege to be part of your journey!
I am a PATH provider for Transgender folks who are uninsured or underinsured in and around the Mecklenburg County, NC area. See here for more info: https://charlottetranshealth.org/providing-access-to-trans-healthcare-path/
I am licensed to offer telehealth therapy in South Carolina via the SC Board of Social Work Out-of-state telehealth provider registration. Registration #1176. https://llr.sc.gov/TeleHealth/SocialWork.html
