Snapshot:
I’m a queer, transgender parent, a survivor of childhood trauma (and of Florida), and a passionate advocate for harm reduction and suicide awareness. I have been a yoga teacher and tarot reader in Durham for the past 10 years until I was inspired by social work in hopes of making my work more accessible.
When I was young, I witnessed firsthand how trauma, substance use, and suicide could impact a family. There is no one size fits all approach to therapy or recovery. I believe they both should be as unique to the people seeking them. In my practice, therapy is a collaborative process. You are the expert on you. Together, we’ll explore practical skills and tools to help you better understand your mind, your identity, and ways to build a life and relationships that feel safe, authentic and meaningful.
I love to combine evidence-based approaches with creative, complementary modalities—like movement, mindfulness, tarot, and anything else you’d like to bring into the space—to support your growth, healing, and self-discovery. Therapy can be a powerful space for hope, transformation, and yes, even a little fun.
I am a PATH provider for Transgender folks who are uninsured or underinsured in and around the Mecklenburg County, NC area. See here for more info: https://charlottetranshealth.org/providing-access-to-trans-healthcare-path/
